How to Allow

For those who are students of the Law of Attraction, you know that in order for you to receive what you desire, you must allow it to come to you. You know that forcing and resisting only perpetuate the continuance of what you do not want.
So how, exactly, do we allow?
To allow our desires to come to us, we must release our energetic defenses related to those desires. And so the simple answer is to use energetic clearing techniques (either those employed by others or those you do on yourself. As a coach interested in empowering my clients as much as possible, I recommend developing an extensive toolkit of self-help clearing techniques that you can apply as soon as energetic defenses start powering up.
I am not opposed to bringing in the help and support of energetic clearing professionals and accepting other help and support. It’s just that I would prefer people be able to clear stuff that comes up as soon as possible, rather than needing to make an appointment with someone. You will make greater progress much more quickly and you will become much more self-sufficient when it comes to managing your personal energy fields.
Having said all of this, what does allowing feel like (because this really is the goal of all of this! Think about all of the circumstances and experiences you easily and effortlessly allow into your life right now. Perhaps you watch a favorite television show or prepare a particular kind of meal. Maybe it involves allowing others to do things for you. It could be doing an activity that you love. Whatever feelings you feel about these kinds of things that you easily allow, you can have the exact same feelings about other things that are currently more challenging like energizing and supportive relationships, plenty of money, great health and well-being, a comfortable and functional home, invigorating travel and new experiences, peace and joy, a sense of passion and purpose, et cetera.
We do not experience all of our desires because our defenses block what we do want and attract what we don’t want. When allowing a million dollars feels as easy and effortless as watching our favorite television show, we’ll have the million dollars. Until then, we will try to get a million dollars, and it won’t be very much fun. God didn’t choose to make our lives difficult. We have done that all by ourselves.
